Returning to the basement the group of gremlins find smoke spewing out of the elevator Lacgoz pinches the bridge of his nose and asks in a strained voice, "Falmus stay here and fix the elevator I'm going to take Mendak to see if I can't find another elevator for us to get out of here." Falmus replied, "Yes boss, Rover go fetch some parts.". Grunting Lacgoz replies "Focus lets just find whatever is broken and get out of here." soon the gremlins eyes adjusted to the light then made their way outside.Ĭoncrete and glass seemed to make up everything outside, the towers that flank them the floor they stand on then Lacgoz remarks, "This isn't right, we were supposed to be in a deconstruction zone not a Fiend City for cores sake I can't even see the sphere walls, we must have taken the wrong elevator let's go back". The gremlins brought their arms up to their eyes Falmus exclaims "By the core that's bright!". Leading the team Lacgoz moved up the stairs into some kind of small, desolate, empty room brightly lit by a harsh light from the outside, all that remains are empty shelves and a table near bright light. Seconds of silence pass then Lacgoz replied, "I do not know." Lacgoz rummaged around his backpack and produced a cylindrical object with a click a lamp illuminated the area revealing it to be some kind of room filled with dusty crates and stairs leading up "Alright stay close to me" Lacgoz instructed, the other two gremlins gave their affirmation. With a dull clunk the elevator stopped in a dark area, darker than any place in the clockwork Mendak says, "Where are we Lacgoz?". Rising up through the clockwork Lacgoz saw: the biome spheres in the body of large gears, criss-crossing maintenance paths, and chunks of fatigued metal being broken down to be reforged smiling he muttered under his voice, "Truly beautiful." then the elevator entered a narrow shaft snapping Lacgoz out of his stupor. The trio of gremlins exited the locker room and made their way to the elevator after pressing a few buttons on a control panel
Lacgoz sighed and said "No matter we are going to strata one to do some basic maintenance, so everyone grab your equipment and follow me." Then the demo realising they wanted a reply from them says in a chipper voice, "Falmus sir, and no I don't know what we are doing this shift,". The mender hurriedly replies, "My name is Mendak and I… don't know what we are doing this shift, sorry sir." there was a pregnant pause, Lacgoz took a deep breath and monotonously stated, "Alright what's your names and do you know what we are doing this shift?"

In a small locker room two new technicians faced Lacgoz: a gremlin mender holding a doctors bag and gripping his wrench wand leaning on it like a staff tightly staring at Lacgoz intently, and a gremlin demo looking around the room seemingly not paying attention, on her was a satchel full of tools and parts by her side and a scuttle-bot on her back looking around the room.
