To give 100 percent of our energy into what we love and do it with love. To always keep our eyes on our goals and work for them. What’s the best musical advice your dad has given you?Īlison: He always reminds us to stay disciplined. Fue un día inolvidable!!! Gran honor estar en la gala #60 del festival más importante del mundo - Este momento vivirá por siempre en mi corazón ? Gracias Chile - Los amooooo -Ī post shared by -‍?ar Solís –? on at 1:59pm PST ¡Me dejaron una sonrisa para siempre Viña Del Mar!! Gracias por abrazarnos tanto, por compartir ese momento, por dejar que la energía fluyera de esa manera tan especial y de una forma que nos llenara tanto de vida y de emoción. Right when I saw Sebastian Yatra, who I think is really hot, in the front row I was like ‘oh my God no.’ Millions of people watching, I mean that really shook my legs, I was terrified. Marla: We had so much adrenaline going through our veins right before. We gave it our all to be able to connect with every single person there and honestly, it filled our hearts. They call that crowd the “monster” and it can either love you or definitely hate you. You recently sang at Viña del Mar where you performed with your dad, what was that experience like?Īlison: Viña del Mar is one of the most unforgettable experiences because it’s honestly the dream of every artist to be able to perform on that stage, so there’s a lot of pressure and a lot of excitement at the same time. It’s the dream life to do what I love with the people I love. Marla: We’ve been able to get some amazing constructive criticism from people that we know have our best interest at heart. We always try to better ourselves in every way as a team. We have such a great dynamic because the way we talk things out is always through eyes of understanding, never through eyes of judgement. What’s it like being on the road with your dad?Īlison: It’s awesome that our family is our team and to have them around us as we’re becoming the best versions of ourselves. It was that that really set our souls on fire and made us feel something special. We tried many other things like soccer, cheerleading, tennis, track, we did a lot of other things and our parents wanted us to find our passion, to go and explore all the things the universe has to offer. Marla: It wasn’t completely the obvious path. Was going into music the obvious path for you both? Thankfully, with the best teacher around. It’s been amazing journey and we still have a lot to grow so every day we learn. I’m so thankful for the opportunity my dad has given us to grow and expand our knowledge every time we step that stage. We also loved singing for family and friends who would come over to the house and we’d even fight each other for the mic. Marla: Music has always been part of my life. In 2017, I got invited to go on tour with Camila and that was probably the best experience that has helped me to improve myself as an artist and a performer in general. What were those years like building up to the very moment you first stepped foot on a stage?Īlison: The first performance I had on my own was in a local theater singing with my piano teacher and ever since then I’ve just loved it more and more. Just hours before going onstage, Billboard caught up with Alison and Marla in a Q&A where they talked about creating their own path in the industry with the advice from the “best teacher” they could have asked for. The North American leg of their tour kicked off March 31 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago where the sisters joined their father onstage to perform “Dónde estará mi primavera.”
